The Civil Design Engineer role is multifaceted, becoming involved in projects at tender stage, supporting the tendering team in addition to the detailed design stage. During the detailed design phase, the individual can expect to be producing civil designs for foundations and structures for electrical plant and equipment operating from 11kV-132kV.
The designer will be expected to assist the construction team in interpreting the designs and will be expected to carry out audits when necessary to ensure quality standards are maintained. The role may include mentoring and training of other civil design/wider team members. The design engineer will also be expected to contribute to business development as required by the commercial team for new projects.
