Roger Bamford BEng (Hons) CEng MIET, is the Managing Director and founder of ESM Power Ltd. Beginning his career at Yorkshire Electricity Distribution plc, Roger spent 18 years holding a number of senior management positions. As a Chartered Electrical Engineer and Senior Authorised Person, Roger has helped grow ESM Power into the business it is today.
Louise Bamford is the Business Services Director and has been a part of ESM Power Ltd from its conception. Beginning her career with Humberside County Council, Louise joined Yorkshire Electricity Distribution plc and spent nearly 13 years holding several management positions. Louise was also previously a key player in the set-up and running of an unrelated successful local business.
Adam Scott FCCA, is the Finance Director of ESM Power Ltd. Beginning his career at a firm of chartered accountants based in Burton upon Trent, Adam relocated to a larger firm in Sheffield where he completed his studies, ultimately qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant. Adam joined ESM Power in 2014 and currently oversees the Finance and Tendering departments as well as partnering with the other directors in overall business and commercial strategy.
David Lyons, is the Operations Director. Beginning his career at Yorkshire Electricity Board, he spent 22 years holding a number of senior management positions before moving on into the contracting arena. David leads from the front. As an Electrical Engineer and Senior Authorised Person, he is passionate about bringing new technology and innovation into mechanical and electrical engineering projects. With more than 35 years of hands-on experience in the multi-utility sector, David has a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise. As Operations Director, David is responsible for managing client relationships, business development and the implementation of partnerships. The main objective is to keep the ESM Power brand synonymous with trust, capability and value for money.
Paul joined ESM Power in September 2016, with over 25 years’ experience as a qualified Electrical Engineer, previously working in Engineering Management and Contract/Design Management. He more recently worked in the renewables sector, working with many of the leading Solar PV developers within the UK. Paul has gained his project management experience in a wide variety of manufacturing and service environments and has a first-class honours degree in Electrical Engineering. Paul heads up the Major Projects department and is responsible for the implementation and delivery of all Major Projects on behalf of ESM Power.
Steve is a dynamic Tendering Manager with a 25-year track record of achievement and success. Having worked across a number of disciplines from ground level through to project, contract and bid management in the Built and HV Environment, Steve is adept at driving performance and budgeting costs from tender to final account. Having the ability to manage pressured environments and adapt to change, providing guidance and support to a team and managing key customer relations. Steve’s experience is further bolstered in operational customer driven markets through product and man management strategies.
Prasad has spent more than 10 years working in the utility and oil & gas industry. Prasad joined the business in 2019 and currently manages the Engineering Design Team. He oversees various creative and design projects for clients to ensure projects are cost-effective, and maintain an up-to-date understanding of their target market.
Martin is the Head of HSQE at ESM Power Ltd and holds a first-class degree within Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management and diplomas in both safety, environmental and engineering disciplines. Martin is the strategic lead on HSQE strategy across the business, promoting continual improvement, business culture and maintaining compliance with both legislative and business procedural requirements.
Helen joined the business in 2013 and manages the Admin and HR functions. Which involves actively managing Administration and HR teams to ensure full support for all areas of the business, ensuring team KPI’s and targets are achieved and customer service standards are maintained to the required levels. Responsible for the implementation and management of the company's HR functions.
The health, safety and welfare of all employees and the public is of paramount importance to ESM Power. Our health and safety policy and performance are reviewed regularly by the Board of Directors, ensuring they are effective, relevant and consistent with our objectives and activities.
Working with high voltage equipment requires the highest level of risk management to ensure a safe working environment. Our experienced team includes electrical engineers, high voltage authorised personnel (AP and SAPs), designers, fitters and jointers supported by in-house HSQE professionals - who are all dedicated to providing a healthy and safe working environment.
